The great "Queen" of Narnia first meets the future King
Edmund the Just in Lantern Waste, offering him turkish delight,
in exchange for his betrayal of his siblings and causing the ultimate
sacrifice. And looks quite fashionable while doing it.
Her crown is full-length (eight inches), and her dreads are twisted
about the back of the head, the remaining length worn down around
her right shoulder.
Her dress is the basic template.
The skirt is ground-length at the front, and seems to drop slightly
at the sides. She wears her full-length mantle of white fur pelts.
The bodice of the dress is white, gradually fading into blue at
above the waistline, and reaching its full hue at around knee-length.
And yet it's much more than a normal Ombre dye job: it's gradually
fading to blue, but differently with several layers. When begins
the fade, it appears that blue dyed silk had white felted wool laying
over it. Then gradually, at knee length, the wool is dyed marbled
blue as well. It appears that over this is the lace with silver
threads, with the pale white organza pieces.
Succinctly put, it seems the lower silk layer was dyed higher up
than the felted wool. See below for some ultra-lovely high resolution
exhibit images!
